“Smart Africa Alliance visits Sudan National Information Center”

Eng. Ammar Hamdeen, Director General of the National Information Center, Advisor to International Cooperation at the Ministry of Communications and Digital Transformation, met with the CEO of the Smart Africa Alliance, Eng. Lasina Kony, in the presence of the NIC family.

Eng. Hamdeen gave a presentation in which he explained the new vision of the National Information Center in digital transformation and the revolution through which it is possible to make a difference in the country’s digital map and the strategy that will develop work in a way that will reflect positively on all sectors.

This visit comes on the occasion of Sudan’s joining the Smart Africa Alliance, strengthening relations with the African continent, opening the door for Sudan to participate in continental digital transformation projects, and in support of Sudan in its digital transformation journey and benefiting from the alliance’s experiences in African countries and the qualitative shift it has brought about.

It is worth noting that the Smart Africa Alliance is a group of African countries, international organizations, bodies and companies active in the global private sector that seek to strengthen and enhance Africa’s digital agenda in order to reach the single African digital market. Rwanda – keen on innovation and seeking to accelerate sustainable social and economic development on the continent and Africa’s integration into the global knowledge economy through ICT and its use.

At the conclusion of the visit to the National Information Center, the visiting delegation took a tour through which they were briefed on the progress of work in the National Data Center and the rest of the sections and units of the National Information Center.
