The delegation of Sudanese National voluntary Organizations Forum, headed by Mr. Ibrahim Modi the country director of United Peace Organization (UPO) met the Transitional Sovereignty Council, represented by Mr. Taher Hajar, today in his office at the Republican Palace.
The head of the Sudanese Organizations Forum, Ibrahim Modi, said in a press statement that he briefed the member of the Sovereignty Council on the establishment of the platform, which aims to bring together all Sudanese organizations to support humanitarian and development framework in the country.
Modi added that the member of the Sovereignty Council confirmed his support for the Sudanese organizations platform, and stressed the importance of setting policies to monitor the performance of the organizations’ work, noting that the member of the Sovereignty stressed the role of organizations in supporting the development process and democratic transformation, in addition to their contribution to supporting the Juba Agreement for Sudan Peace, it has also recoded that this is the first national organizations collation on one board to serve as a voluntary allies body or humanitarian institution that highly concerned about the humanitarian aids and support to Sudanese people and war affected citizens in particular, MR.
